About our host families
Sunny Au Pair has high standards for our au pairs. Our process for accepting host families is just as
Potential host families search for au pairs by the specific qualifications they need for their family. Once an au pair is chosen by a host family for an interview, the au pair can see the host family's profile, including photos and a letter to the potential au pair. A match is never complete unless both the au pair and host family agree to the schedule and other details discussed in the interview.
Where do the host families live?
Our host families mostly live in Beijing, either in suburban areas or downtown areas. Most Chinese families live in apartments and only have one kid due to China's previous Single Child policy. There are some families who have two kids but usually no more than that. No matter where your host family lives, you can be sure that it's a comfortable home where you will have your own room.
Living with a host family will give you an up-close experience of everyday life within an exceptional Chinese family, while creating opportunities for you to teach people about your country and culture as well. Once a host family applies for our program, our local coordinator visits the family. We confirm the application is real. We check the host family accommodation. We ensure the living situation is accommodative to Au Pair’s. We also ensure that the host family knows the Au Pair and how to work with the Au Pair
